UAE-based food packaging company Al Bayader International has invested AED15m ($4.09m) in a new production line at its manufacturing facility in Jebel Ali Free Zone to manufacture its Towerpac range of food containers.
The latest investment is part of the company's AED80m ($22m) outlay aimed at addressing the market's fast-paced growth.
Manufactured to address the needs of the UAE and the wider Middle East especially, the new line of products will also cater to the needs of the region's $20bn food & beverage (F&B) industry.
Al Bayader International group CEO Nidal Haddad said the investment will help accommodate the estimated demand for the new product family.
"From leading technical consultants and business analysts to established manufacturing and mold-making companies, we strongly believe that the tOWERPAC range will result in huge savings on inventory costs, more efficient utilization of shelf space and easy access to products for retailers," Haddad said.
According to the company, the Towerpac, which is also available in a retail shelf friendly flat bottom version, has been designed to interlock through an ingenious screw mechanism.
The containers will be available in sizes ranging from 1oz to 24oz and serve as the better food packaging solution for the growing F&B industry.
