Volkswagen has unveiled the Lamando for the Chinese market at the 2014 Chengdu Auto Show.
The new car is developed out of Volkswagen New Midsize Coupe (NMC) Concept that was released back in April, but the design of the car is based upon the company's other product Jetta.
The four door car will be available in two variant, 2.0 litre and a 1.4 litre petrol four-cylinder engine.
Though Lamando resembles the NMC Concept that features cars that are taller and longer than the other range, Volkswagen has toned down the bumper, lamp cluster and the wheels of its latest member.
The company has not revealed details of the interior but it is expected to be similar to that of Volkswagen's other flagship Mk7 Golf which features three spoke steering wheel and driver-oriented centre console.
Reportedly the car will be manufactured by Shanghai-Volkswagen joint venture and it is expected to release in November 2014.
